Lego Advent Calendar: Day 24

Merry Christmas to all!

While today is the last official Lego Advent Calendar post it is not the end of the Lego Winter Village. It will continue to grow and thrive, so stay tuned.

The cats were uncooperative last night, so they will not be appearing in this post.

As expected, Santa. He’s always the last day in the Lego Advent Calendars.

Santa’s younger brother has arrived in town! I say younger because Santa 01 has grey eyebrows and Santa 02 has brown.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 23

A tricycle sounds like a Christmas gift under a tree…so that is where I put it.

Cleaning up the devastation and rebuilding.

Even the kitty is helping.

Johnny Sausage ordered a cupcake to be delivered to Officer Carol’s sing-along-sled, which is really a job that only Caramel Frosting, the bakery dog could do.

Well, that is a sentence I never expected to type.

Officer Handcuffs is trying to arrest Santa for illegal parking.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 22

Day 22 has arrived.

I’m sensing a Christmas tree…

Yep.

Two Christmas trees in the village square are better than one.

So, I decided that the village needed more snow…so I grabbed the sprinkle snow and let some of it fall on the Lego Village.

This attracted the attention of Fred.

And then this happened….

Fred jumped on the able. I yelped in surprise, so he hopped off immediately and scampered away.

Oh the carnage and devastation.

We shall rebuild!

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 21

December 21! Happy Solstice!

Pretty.

Christmas presents! A bit boring, BUT I got to construct something AND they are Christmas-related…so better than the bucket…tied with the turkey/wine.

Today, I am also adding this other piece I just completed- not from the advent calendar. Santa’s workshop!

That is a very fancy chair. It swivels. Also there is an awesome picture of Mr. & Mrs. Claus vacationing in Fiji on the wall.

Santa’s digs are looking better!

I would like to clear up a besmirched name. Office Handcuffs did not arrest Prisoner 86753(09) because he wasn’t stealing! Here are the facts:

– We have 1 jewelry stand

– The jewelry stand did not come with an owner/merchant/caretaker

– The only other place we’ve seen jewels is on Prisoner 86753(09).

Conclusion: Prisoner 86753(09) isn’t STEALING. He, in fact, has already done his time. He has turned his ways around and now sells jewels for a living.

This left Officer Handcuffs to arrest the turkey for not being a REAL Lego.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 20

Day 20!

….okay…

Are those stools? Upside down buckets? This was lame. There was nothing to build.

Yay. The village bucket. So exciting. Anyone in town need a shovel or hatchet? Come to the village bucket. Free tools.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 19

YAY! So, I found these little minifig packs. Not quite a substitute for an Advent Calendar since they are kind of pricey for what they are, but still really cool. The best part is- they are random. There is one of 16 possibilities within this pouch. I have no idea who will be added to our town. We’ll find our December 26th! And in the future when I am advent-calendar-less this will be a fun thing to do periodically.

On to Day 19.

At first I was super excited, because THAT ladies and gentlemen is a Lego TURKEY. Beautiful. Or so I thought.

At first sight, amazing. However, it doesn’t attach to the table! It doesn’t click in because it is not a true Lego! When Fred jumps on the winter village the turkey will go flying. Hard to move it around, it just slides right off…lame.

But, there is also a bottle of Lego wine. Which is attachable.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 18

I’m so glad I chose to start this hobby this year. The last few weeks have been very busy and my time to enjoy the holidays as been limited. My house is hardly decorated (unusual for me) and I’ve yet to make a single Christmas cookie. While I haven’t managed to make decent progress on the kits I purchased for the town, the Advent calendar has given me something to look forward to each night and has helped keep me in the holiday spirit. I wish I was able to spend more time with it, but I have a feeling I’ve started a new tradition that will be around for a long time.

Thank you to those of you who are following along. Blogging the advent calendar forces me to take those 5 minutes of my night to enjoy the Legos. Without you guys, I may have skipped some nights.

What will day 18 bring us?

Just what this town needs! Another police officer! Well…maybe it does. We all know Officer Carol isn’t fighting crime. Or is he? Lego only has one bandit, and he just steals gems. Maybe other towns should try Officer Carol’s method of community singing to solve their crime problems. He may be on to something….but regardless of our need for a new officer….

Meet Officer Handcuffs. He is a bit too enthusiastic about arresting people. In fact, when he needs to choose between drinking whatever he keeps in the red mug or holding handcuffs, he picks handcuffs. You can never be too prepared to capture criminals!

Yet another mug for the party table collection.

Already working, I see.

Well, that’s cool.

The Christmas bed was empty, but Miss Melody was on the other side of me.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 17

Day 17!

Looks like it’ll be a part of Officer Carol’s sled.

His sled appears to have a trailer or a backseat, even.

Penpal gift = frozen stickers. Maybe it is a hint that I should actually see that movie?

Looks like Fred was here last night.

This is Fred…he didn’t want to sit down…he was in a cuddle mood, and was trying to snuggle up against me.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 16

Day 16!

I can’t wait for this weekend! I’ve been so busy every night making Christmas gifts. I haven’t had time to download the latest Sims free update to test out the new careers, or go to bed on time for that matter. Things will finally start slowly down a bit after this weekend. Can’t wait.

I swear I took a picture of the pieces, but Google Photos is claiming I didn’t. We quarreled about it, Google won (as always). I present to you a very lame snowmobile with blue lights so I am guessing it belongs to Officer Carol.

He’s not going to be able to beat Snowmobile Steve in a race anytime soon…but I think he can take Prisoner 86753(09) since his sled isn’t motorized.

Lego Advent Calendar: Day 15

Day 15…the days are going by so fast. Do they make advent calendars for January? Jimmy has some time off, maybe he can make me one? :p

Okay, so I neatened up the pieces, but there wasn’t anything to assemble, so this is both the before and after shot.

The animal-loving side of me is excited to have a dog in the village, but another part of me is disappointed there was nothing to *build*. He should have come with a saddle and a gnome to ride him. Or a dog bed.

Okay. He just got better. He has a connector on his back…or whatever those things are called…why? What can go on his back? I tried a child…that didn’t work, too big, and the children can’t sit. What does fit? Cupcakes!

Meet Caramel Frosting, the cupcake delivery dog working for Brezel. He has one of the most important jobs in town, delivering cupcakes to people in need…of cupcakes.
