Fun with Data: Home-cooking or Take-out?

I’ve been curious about this for a long time…realistically, how many times a week do people make a legit meal at home? This poll is anonymous, so answer honestly. I’ll share the results here in about a week or so.

So, how many times a week do you have a home-cooked meal for dinner? Easy meals (pasta, sloppy joes and oven fries, tacos, etc…) absolutely count…as do frozen bagged skillet meals (particularly if you add a side-salad, etc…), but microwaveable meals, canned soup, etc…don’t count. I’ll let you define the specifics for yourself (this is pretty casual, afterall), but how many times a week do you eat a meal made with at least some effort at home?

Playing with Data: New Year’s Resolutions

Those of you who know me personally are probably aware of my love for collecting, organizing and playing with data. This love is likely one of the reasons I am a scientist. 🙂

I love collecting information through surveys (for improving Maine Trips, for planning gatherings like game nights, and to help me make decisions in the Sims). For awhile now, I’ve been thinking about applying this love here on my blog, and here is the first post about it! My plan is to collect information about a variety of interesting questions and then post the results here. We can get some useful nerdy recommendations out of it such as book, blog, podcast and movie recommendations.

Here is the first poll…New Year’s Resolutions. Thanks in advance for participating. 🙂
