This is another post in my series that talks about the places I want to visit once I finally am able to join my husband at our new home in Virginia. I’ve decided to make a new category “Virginia“, you can find all the posts for this series under that tag (on the right-hand side.)

Downtown Charlottesville is home to a pedestrian-only outdoor mall made up of 120 stores and 30 restaurants. Almost all the businesses are locally owned with very few chains. In addition, there are a half-dozen art galleries, movie theater, skating rink and more stretching over the 8 blocks. Live entertainment and events are a common occurrence.
We’ve visited the mall once, as part of a quick lunch expedition. We saw only a small, but tasty, portion of it, and it left me wanting to see more.
