Thanks to my Twitter feed, I learned of a new podcast called Limetown. I’ve listened to the first (and only) episode, and love it. I definitely think it has the potential to become a hit in the podcasting fandom.
Here’s the description from their website,
"Limetown is a fictional podcast from Two-Up Productions. Limetown follows journalist Lia Haddock as she investigates the infamous disappearance of a doomed research facility."
It is very well-produced and has an audio drama quality to it (like We’re Alive). It has a format similar to Serial, you are following an investigative journalist as she attempts to find some answers. You learn about the incident through her research and insights, audio recordings, and interviews.
A description from their site:
"Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee, never to be heard from again. In this seven-part podcast, American Public Radio host Lia Haddock asks the question once more, "What happened to the people of Limetown?"
It’s interesting, creative, and well-done. I *highly* recommend checking out the first episode. You can find it on Itunes, as well as their website: http://www.limetownstories.com/
