Places I want to Visit in Virginia: Monticello

This is the third post in my new series that talks about the places I want to visit once I finally am able to join my husband at our new home in Virginia.

Today’s attraction is only 20 minutes from my house- it’s closer than where Jimmy works! We drive right by it on the way “into town”.

Jefferson’s Monticello

At Jefferson’s estate, Monticello, you can tour his home and the grounds (gardens, graveyard), watch a film, see a few exhibits and walk a 4 mile trail with views of the mountains,. Of course, there is some shopping and a cafe as well. The visit will make for a very nice Saturday afternoon this fall.
