Review: PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounge

We received this cat scratcher lounge for Christmas. I don’t have any pictures of it new, but it pretty much looked like this out of the box. There was one small, but annoying, issue with the packing of this item. The package of desiccant had broken open and the little beads were embedded in the cardboard all over the product. It took about an hour to remove all the beads.

However, the inconvenience proved worth it. My cats love this item. We’ve had it for 4 months now and the cats have not grown tired of it. It’s used multiple times a day.

Unlike many other cardboard scratchers, this item is very well built. It’s sturdy and has withstood the abusive of seven cats for the past four months.

The single downside of this product- you get cardboard pieces everywhere.

Here’s Miss Melody demonstrating how it can be used as a bed. This photo was taken a month ago before I had decided to flip the lounger over to the unused side.

I’ve since turned it over to expose more of the unscratched cardboard. As you can see, it makes a mess. But the cats adore picking cardboard. As Miles is demonstrating for you below:

Harree decided to join him to show how multiple cats can use the product at once, and how you can scratch it from different angles:

Unfortunately, my camera phone couldn’t handle how quickly they were moving.

Four months in and the majority of the cats still use this item on a daily basis. Aside from the small mess, this product is wonderful. I plan on purchasing another in the future, and I highly recommend it.

My cats & I give this item 5 out of 5 paws.

  1. I think we may have to try this one out. Spackle loves destroying cardboard (usually with his mouth) and dislikes most scratchers, so this one might be a good one for us =) Thanks for reviewing!
